Let's Break the Shame

Let's Break the Shame helps those who are struggling with their mental health. Our founder Mae had been silently suffering from mental health issues for years. She was afraid to share her struggles with others which significantly slowed down her healing process. Mae decided to share her story on Instagram and soon discovered many others were dealing with the same issue. From here Let's Break the Shame was born. Our goal offering others a safe space to communicate and learn about mental health. Through our work we hope to create a society with more understanding and less people suffering on their own.  We do this by organising events, online campaigns, education & company programs, and coaching sessions. Our efforts are committed to the public benefit. However, our organisation is dependent on the help of volunteers and donations. Your donation helps us to help even more people.

Let's Break the Shame X PTSD On October 28th Let's Break the Shame will organise an event which focusses on PTSD. One of the Speakers during the event will be Ferry Zandvliet. Ferry will share his experience about surviving a terrorist attack and turning it into happiness.  Statistics have shown that 1 in 13 people will develop PTSD in their life. While people often assume PTSD is only something we see in veterans it is something anyone can develop after suffering a traumatic event. People who suffer from PTSD are more likely to suffer from a depression as well. During our LBTS X PTSD event we want to make people feel heard, seen and understood. To destigmatise mental health problems such as PTSD and to let you know you are not alone.  We ask you to donate so we can make it happen and invite you to join us in the future.    Take a look at Ferry's website To sign up for the event click here
